Women’s Work: A Quickening – This is What Women Do

“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost.”  – Martha Graham

All over our planet, incredible women are engaged in all kinds of life-essential, life-respecting, life-supporting, and life-enhancing actions.

By taking action when she is called, each woman in her own unique and creative way embodies her medicine on our beautiful planet whether through activism; seeking justice; providing education; engaging in politics; participating in governance; sharing healing; making music; writing stories, plays, poetry; making movies, documentaries; art; and engaging in humanitarian activities, to list only a few.

We at DrMackenzieBrooks.com are creating audio recordings of these women’s stories and compiling them in this location for women to access, to listen to, to learn from and be inspired by the inner and outer journeys that these Women of Voice and Action are walking.

We thank each woman for being who you are, for doing what you do and for being willing to share your wisdoms with us, for we know that our lives and our world is a better place because you are in it.

Every story shared by these women of voice and action offer the rest of us an opportunity to learn and benefit from the life-learnings and wisdoms that these women have gained on their heroic journeys.
